Closeness to beach
Dirty unkept swimming pool (main reason for choosing this hotel) Unkept gardens and surroundings Closeness to main road not mentioned hence noise Lack of presence of staff

The room was exceptionally nice with terrace at good off-season value and with smoke detectors for safety measures. There where central heating and multi-channel TV provided.

No complaints whatsoever, a VERY LOVELY experience, would book here again. Simple place overall, it is fairly clean, location is marvellous on the coast of France. Make sure you stay in the twin room with a terrace. The staff is pleasant and very welcoming.

The hotel is basic but clean and value for money. Nice pool and comfortable rooms. We had a room with a terrace which was really nice.
The service was not too great in that the bar was always closed and there was hardly anyone around to assist/serve breakfast or drinks by the pool. But I suppose you expect that with a hotel of this rating.

The hotel worked well for us - the surrounding area wasn't preposessing at all, but within 5 minutes we were at the beach and a few minutes walk got us into different parts of Bacares to eat, stroll etc. The pool area was well kept. We only had breakfast in the hotel on our last day (preferring to walk into town) but when we had it was OK. In terms of value for money, for what we wanted, it was good. The room was compact but clean and everything worked - the shower was good and housekeeping did a good job.
Not that it really mattered, but we never really connected with the people who worked in the hotel, which we normally do. I guess we're use to smiley and attentive people and although they were pleasant enough, we didn't click. Maybe my bad French causd a barrier!

Quiet location near the beach and a short walk to other restaurants, bar & shops. Ideal for a quiet break - but we were staying before the start of the season.

The restaurant was good value for money , the service was good and friendly. The only downside was a three family group with young children who dined late and spoilt the ambiance of the place , treating the dining room as a playground
On our morning of departure there was not a member of staff who could check us out properly. She could not present a facture , did not know how to work their systems and took over 30 minutes before we were given a scrap of paper where she had scribbled the cost of various items, Poor presentation plus she continually chewed gum while talking.
